
Pastry Chef
JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you have a passion for creating sweet and savory desserts? The Loft at Traders Point Creamery is looking for a pastry chef to join our team! The ideal candidate should be well-versed in pastry making and able to develop new recipes for our menu. The team is looking for someone who is creative, searching for a place to learn and grow, and has a passion for using the best organic ingredients for our guest experience.
This position is responsible for all aspects of pastry food preparation up to and including the final presentation for delivery to guests in partnership with the Executive Chef.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspace
- Communicating all pastry-specific supplies and equipment needs
- Proper rotation and monitoring of raw and finished product to ensure best quality
- Proper following of dessert production rotation/following pars given by Chef
- Completing weekly ice cream topping & additions inventory needs
- Responsible for setting up pastry for nightly dessert plating
- Preparation of fresh bread for nightly dinner service
- Aid in receipe/menu development for seasonal rotation
- Maintain awareness of upcoming events through a scheduled event chart/BEO
- Knowledge of the garden and how to incorporate it into desserts
- Knowledge on Traders Point Creamery products and how to incorporate into desserts
- Knowledge on best options for creating desserts that are low in sugar and best alternative options
- Utilizing organic & fresh ingredients
- Other duties may be assigned
PAY
Based on skill level and prior experience
Starting from $18.00 per hour
