Indiana Members Credit Union
Headquartered on the southside of Indianapolis, Indiana Members Credit Union was founded in 1956 on the IU Indianapolis campus and has grown to become the largest credit union in Central Indiana, offering 31 full-service branches and serving over 160,000 members. IMCU’s mission has long been to better the lives of those we serve, through our credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”. As a non-for-profit credit union, IMCU is able to offer a lower fee structure and traditionally offers better rates on savings and loans than other financial institutions.
IMCU prides itself on its ability to stay true to its roots of Keeping It Simple, providing members valuable products and services while offering convenient technologies such as mobile deposit and Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), which administer the ability to see and speak with a live teller as they process transactions during business hours, transforming member experience by providing more personalized member service.
Locally owned small businesses also enjoy the personal relationships and service they receive. IMCU extends a full array of commercial offerings combined with simple application processes, and quick, local decision making allowing business owners to focus on the essentials, their business.
Corporate responsibility is also priority for IMCU as shown by the establishment of the Indiana Members Foundation in 2010. Since its inception, IMCU, along with employees and the Indiana Members Foundation, awarded over $2.4 million in scholarships and school supplies, packed 26,000 meals for local pantries, donated 26 tons of food, supported 275 organizations, awarded over $150,000 in grants to local agencies, and awarded over $1.4 million in academic and hospital donations to our community.
IMCU’s goal is to continue to offer convenient options and enhanced services to our membership and the residents in the communities we serve, assisting in managing everyday finances and helping to keep banking simple! For more information, visit us online at www.imcu.com.
