Zionsville Honors Lt. Chuck White for 30 Years of Service
ZIONSVILLE, IN (February 13, 2025) – The Town of Zionsville is proud to recognize Lieutenant Charles K. (Chuck) White for his 30 years of dedicated service to the Zionsville Police Department (ZPD). In honor of this milestone, Mayor John Stehr has officially proclaimed February 13, 2025, as Chuck White Day in Zionsville.
Lt. White began his career with ZPD on February 13, 1995, when he was appointed to the Zionsville Marshal’s Office. Over the past three decades, he has served under five marshals and police chiefs, holding roles as a patrol officer, investigator, and the town’s first Director of Facility Security. His leadership and commitment to public safety have made a lasting impact on the department and the community.
“Zionsville is a different place than it was when Chuck joined ZPD three decades ago,” said Mayor John Stehr. “It’s no exaggeration to say that he has played a significant role in helping keep us safe and secure as our town has evolved.”
Zionsville Police Chief Spears also praised Lt. White’s contributions, stating:
“I am extremely proud of Lieutenant White and his thirty years of dedication and service to the people of Zionsville. His work and leadership have helped make and keep Zionsville one of the most desirable and safest towns in the country. He cares deeply for our community, and this care is clearly reflected in his daily service. Thank you, Chuck, for thirty outstanding years. You are sincerely appreciated.”
Throughout his tenure, Lt. White has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Meritorious Service Award and a Citation for his work in solving a bank robbery in 2013, a Chief’s Award for Excellence in 2019, and the prestigious honor of graduating from the FBI National Academy in 2016. His reputation as a role model within ZPD and the broader Zionsville community has earned him the respect and appreciation of colleagues and residents alike.
